Bringing your dog

Yes well-behaved dogs are welcome in all of our apartments and bungalows at an additional cost of £150 per week. Please check if your pet needs a passport if you’re travelling from outside the UK or Channel Islands.

Yes dogs are welcome on most beaches year round. But between 1st May and 30th September dogs are strictly prohibited from Fermain, Petit Bot, L’Eree, Vazon (North end), Cobo, Port Soif, L’Ancresse and Pembroke. For more information and a map of dog-free beaches click here: https://www.gov.gg/dogsonbeaches

Getting Around

Parking in Guernsey is free, but many on-street parking and car parks are ‘disc zones’ whereby you must set your parking clock at the time of parking and display it on your dashboard.

Key things to remember:

Display clearly: Place the disc on your dashboard showing your time of arrival.

Strict Limits: You cannot reset the clock without moving your car to a different parking zone.

30-Minute Rule: Once you leave a disc zone, you cannot re-park in that same zone for at least 30 minutes.

Free Periods: Disc restrictions generally do not apply on Sundays or Bank Holidays.

You can purchase a parking clock from Guernsey Information Centre, on board the ferries, and most vehicle garages.

Not necessarily. Vazon Bay Apartments are in a great location for walking, cycling and catching local buses, although many visitors choose to hire a car to explore more of the island.

There are two bus stops on the main coast road just a minute walk from Vazon Bay Apartments. The northbound buses stop just outside Vistas and southbound buses stop just after Crabby Jacks.

The following three buses are the main regular routes all of which terminate at the terminus in St Peter Port (town):

42: Travels northbound and is the shortest bus route to town.

92: Travels southbound around the south of the island.

X91: Travels northbound around the north of the island.

For more information on the bus routes, fares and timetables head to their website: https://buses.gg/ or there is a buses.gg app you can download.
